At the 2024 British Society of Breast Radiology (BSBR) conference in Liverpool, PERFORMS showcased its impact on breast screening quality assurance. Professor Yan Chen delivered two key presentations that sparked engaging discussions:
Performance Differences Between Experienced and New Participants: The team compared the performance of seasoned professionals and newcomers in the PERFORMS Quality Assurance Test, emphasising the need for ongoing training to maintain high screening standards.
AI Recall Thresholds in Breast Screening: The second session focused on how PERFORMS can optimise AI recall thresholds to balance sensitivity and specificity and ultimately help enhance the accuracy and efficiency of breast screening programs. The team was delighted to receive the Best Oral Presentation Award at BSBR 2024.
