PERFORMS Team Showcases Groundbreaking Research at EUSOBI 2025 in Aberdeen

The PERFORMS Team proudly participated in EUSOBI 2025, one of the most significant events in the breast imaging calendar, held this year in Aberdeen, Scotland. The conference brought together leading clinicians, researchers, and innovators to discuss the latest developments shaping the future of breast imaging and screening.

The research team made a strong contribution to the Scientific Programme, presenting a series of research studies and taking on key moderation roles during the event. Their involvement highlighted the team’s ongoing commitment to advancing evidence-based practices and exploring the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into breast screening workflows.

Simulating Double Reading Protocols in Breast Screening: A Multinational Evaluation of Human and AI Reader Performance

Evaluation of a DBT Cancer Detection AI Algorithm Using the PERFORMS Scheme

Findings from the UK National PROSPECTS DBT Screening Trial on the Learning Curve of DBT Reading Time

These studies highlighted the team’s international collaborations and their dedication to understanding the evolving dynamics between human expertise and AI technology in diagnostic imaging.

In addition to these research contributions, Professor Y. Chen co-moderated the session “Next Generation: Spotlight on Emerging Physician Scientists / Best ePoster Award,” which showcased some of the top-rated abstracts submitted for the Young Physician-Scientist Grant. This session celebrated innovation and the next generation of leaders in breast imaging research.
